QuickBooks in a hosted environment is an "everywhere from anywhere" solution. Hosted QuickBooks simplifies PC maintenance because it runs via a web browser. There is no need to install or maintain any version of QuickBooks on any of your PCs. However, if you want to use your QuickBooks data when you are off-line (to view reports, etc), you can.
